What I do
The music, entertainment and creative industries are fast-paced, ever-evolving and often overwhelming. Coaching is the supportive and holistic process of helping another individual to reach their highest potential and move forward in a powerful way.
My approach is to help empower my clients by giving them the tools to set personal and professional boundaries, and cope with busy periods that can overwhelm. I assist those who I work with to move past any feelings of being stuck and encourage powerful and positive mindset shifts.
Why I coach
With 18 years’ experience in the music industry and 9 years of running my own successful music PR agency, in 2020 I decided to launch my Professional Coaching Offering aimed at the music and creative industries. My mission is to help others become the most authentic version of themselves and empower them with my support to move past any blocks or self-limiting beliefs that may be holding them back.
Through the process of asking powerful questions, holding space and time for the client to pause, question and visualise, the partnership of coaching is incredibly rewarding for both the coach and coachee. My aim is to help artists, creatives and professionals to realise their limitless potential from within, in their own unique way. When you step out of your comfort zone that’s where the magic really begins.

My offering includes bespoke one to one weekly sessions via zoom, 1.5 hour in-person sessions, group programs and music industry mentoring sessions.

Ruth Emery
Glasgow born and raised, Ruth Emery spent the first decade of her career working at both indie and major record labels including a 6 year stint at Polydor/Universal where she worked on artist campaigns for huge international artists such as Madonna, Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga.
In 2012 Ruth left her corporate career to set up her PR agency Yes Please which is now 9 years old. She has had the absolute pleasure of working with artists past and present including Prince, Run The Jewels, elbow, Primal Scream, Karen O, Pet Shop Boys and Arlo Parks. She loves working with passionate and inspirational individuals. Ruth lives in London with her husband and two young boys.
